At the time of this writing, our new goal is to find a better school for the boys for next year. This school year, they have attended from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This half-day schooling included recess and lunchtime daily. Comments from teachers and the fact that all of Brayan’s books went missing while the class was out at recess has had us concerned, to say the least!
Juan Calos is 10 and very bright! He wants to be a doctor. He does well in school and loves it! Brayan is now 9 and is in school for the first time in his life. He wants to be a pastor. While Brayan is new to education, he has progressed well. He was placed in a first grade classroom in August and has already been moved to second grade. So we know the boys are smart and capable. We want them to have the best education possible, especially during these young most impressionable years.
So the hunt is on for a better school. We want them to be able to attend a school that lasts the whole day, where they can learn all the important subjects, and be with loving, caring teachers who want to see their students become all God created them to be.
We are praying that God will provide the money for them to attend a better school. He has been most gracious to provide for their needs. We pray this need will be met, as well. We are currently paying $43 per month, per child. In addition to that, we had to pay a couple hundred dollars for medical tests for the school to admit them. We also had to buy several hundred dollars worth of books for the boys. The school would not let them come until all the books had been purchased.
We are praying that God will lead us to the right school for the boys. We pray God will provide the funds to get them enrolled, buy the school supplies and books needed, and monthly tuition paid. Please help us pray for God’s leadership in this important matter. Thanks!!
