During the Covid 19 pandemic travel restrictions have prevented the team from Giving For His Glory to travel to the Dominican Republic. However this restriction provided an opportunity for those who previously received support from Giving For His Glory and are now taking missions to others in need.
For several years now Giving For His Glory has been working with Pastor Juan Bosquet and the members of his church, Baptist Church of the Deliverance For All. In June and July of 2020 these faithful believers went to the sugarcane community of Batey.
Pastor Juan Bosquet and his church are distributing food door-to-door to those in need. Many in this community struggle with having enough for a meal.
Despite the pandemic and restrictions of travel God’s spirit is continuing to move in the body of His church. Pastor Juan Bosquet and the members of his church took a food distribution and hygiene ministry to the children of this community. Here we see how the men of the church cooked and prepared meals for the people in the sugarcane fields.
Women from the church of Deliverance For All are bathing children from the sugarcane community. These children in need of hygiene care were bathed from the women of Pastor Bosquet’s church.
In a time of great uncertainty and need we are reminded that God is faithful. Yet God’s work is often done through the hands and feet of His church. We are witnessing God’s church in the Dominican Republic grow and minister to other’s in need much like the early church did. We believe that it is not circumstances that determine the outcome, but the faithfulness of God’s work through His church.
